Where has my food come from?

This half term, we are learning all about where our food comes from and the environment impact of importing food from around the world! We have also been planning and designing our own Chinese Stir Fry and understanding how to use a range of cooking and preparation techniques.

Earth and Space

We have been learning all about the solar system, in particular the spherical features of the Earth, Sun and Moon. We have been investigating day and night and understanding the role the Moon and Earth play in creating these.

Literacy

This half term, we have been reading ‘The Wizards of Once’ by Cressida Cowell, which tells the tale about a Wizard boy and Warrior girl who have been taught to hate each other like poison, but need to work together to defeat the evil Queen. We have produced some lovely work including our own Character and Setting descriptions, Diary entries and persuasive letters. Please look at some of our fabulous work below!
