Welcome to Beamish Primary School

Welcome to our wonderful school and thank you for visiting our website. My name is Mrs Telfer, and I am extremely proud to be the Executive Headteacher of the Beamish & Pelton Federation.
Beamish Primary School is located in the small village of No Place near the town of Stanley and is approximately 7 miles from the historic city of Durham. The school is a smaller than average primary school with a nursery offering 15- and 30-hour places for 2, 3 and 4-year-old pupils.

After our amazing success at the VEX IQ Regional Mix and Match competition โ where Beamish Beasts came 1st in the Skills Challenge and qualified for the UK National Championship in Telford โ we are now busy fundraising to support this exciting trip! ๐๐ค
This is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to represent their school on a national stage, build confidence, develop teamwork, and experience competitive robotics at its very best.
To help make this possible, weโve set up a GoFundMe page, and we would be incredibly grateful for any donations or support โ big or small โ to help cover travel, accommodation, and competition costs.
Thank you so much for supporting our brilliant Beamish Beasts โ we couldnโt do it without you! ๐๐

Last week, the Beamish Beasts team competed in the VEX IQ Regional Mix and Match competition โ and what a day it was! The competition was packed with teamwork challenges and skills tests, where our amazing students worked brilliantly with other schools, organised themselves, planned smart strategies, and made some tough driving decisions under pressure. ๐ช๐ง
All their hard work truly paid off โ Beamish Beasts came 1st in the Skills Challenge, which means theyโve officially qualified for the UK National Championship in Telford next month! ๐๐
Huge congratulations to the entire team โ we are so proud of you! ๐๐๐ 10 Likes

Later this week, the whole school will step back to 1911 with a full periodโdress day. Teachers will be wearing costumes tailored by Beamish Museum, whoโll also be joining to share what life was like when the school first opened.
A huge well done to everyone involved. The anniversary has shown exactly why there really is no place like Beamish Primary School!
